Homeowner has to explain to neighbors that their fenced garden is not a park just because it looks nice and has a tree in it:

A well-landscaped yard with a pergola, like in the story.
Bouche_Audi_Shy How dare you refuse to turn your yard into a public park!
NaturesVivid Pictures Time to put up private property signs and no trespassing.

robopirateninjasa Anytime they say anything, tell them that your lawyer has advised you not to respond directly to them, only their lawyer

pewtermug "When's the last time you had to move a motorcycle to get to a park, sir?"

business-sual Time for cameras. Should honestly look at a restraining order or trespassing them as well.

NorskTroender You HAVE to update us on this, incredible stuff

dakky68 I hope having a beautiful park near the house was the deciding factor for them choosing their house over others they looked at.

Ok-Scarcity-3705 Ugh! I had new neighbors move in adjacent to my backyard and it took us months to get them to back off. They let their dogs out into it daily, tied the dog to our tree and refused to discuss it with us. This was years ago, but they still seem to believe my yard really is supposed to be a neighborhood amenity. We have kind of a truce going on but I am not sure for how long.

GuairdeanBeatha Put up no trespassing signs and get a good camera. Call the police any time someone tries to get into your garden.

Useless890 How dare you claim your property, just because you paid for it! I'd love to see that guy's lawyer keep a straight face while he's listening to this story.

Any_Meeting_4082 Like YESTERDAY lol, get a few PRIVATE PROPERTY, NO TRESPASSING signs and put them at the gate and at each corner on the fence. Also get a camera that faces the gate. If you do this, add a sign at the gate that the area is under 24/7 surveillance and violators will be prosecuted.

If neighbors invade your property again once you have the signs up, show the video & signs to police & have them cited for TRESPASSING, since they were CLEARLY advised it was NOT public. property by the signs. Problem solved! Good luck!!

neverdoneneverready Put up a big sign. And an electric fence.
